Aeon Flex Stalked by a WWE Legend? Rumors Persist

Posted by admin On July - 29 - 2010

Everyone on the gulf coast has been talking about Aeon Flex’s ability to rise to the big time and make a name for himself in a promotion like the WWE or TNA, but what will it take for him to break that glass ceiling?  Some people argue that it would take the help of an amazing manager.  One can only imagine that if Aeon Flex would be a household name by now if he was managed by somebody with the stroke of a Bobby Heenan, Lou Albano, Mr. Fuji, or even Jimmy Hart.

What makes this interesting is that a certain Percy Pringle has been waiting in the wings, watching Aeon from the background.  As seen in the picture above, Percy seems to have great interest in this rising star.  Does this mean these two men have talked about having an alliance together?  Who knows.  We’ll just have to wait and see how this develops.

All-Stars of Wrestling superstar Maxwell Chicago was recently spotted at Maxwell Street Pizza in Chicago, IL. However, he wasn’t working that night, he was enjoying a large deep dish with his workout partner Flex.

“Flex and I always go out for pizza,” said the singing superstar. “His secret all-carb diet got me where I am today. It won’t be but a few more months and I will have him looking as ripped as I am.”

Before he Maxwell Street, Maxwell entertained the crowds with some Liza Minnelli songs. Claiming that he taught Liza how to sing, Flex and Chicago finished off a duet of “All that Jazz” before retiring visiting Wrigley Field for some batting practice.

Redefining “Cruiserweight;” The Story of Maze

Redefining “Cruiserweight;” The Story of Maze

If you followed indy wrestling on the Gulf Coast in 2005, then you knew the name Maze, and when you heard that name you thought of a high flying young star capable of moving with the top international stars in the country.  If you follow Gulf Coast wrestling in 2010, then you know Maze is still a top star.  However, you probably don’t think of him as a high flyer.  You think of him as a cagey veteran.  You think of him as a wrestler who is capable of hard hitting mat action and even greuling hardcore matches?

Many would ask, why did Maze change, and has it been good for his career?  Considering his recent successes in Ultimate Wrestling, there is no doubt that he is at the top of his game.  Has Maze learned that the daredevil antics of many cruiserweight stars are great for entertaining crowds, but they don’t win many titles?  Has Maze learned that back handsprings and moonsaults are not as effective as a knee in the face or a punch to the throat?

When we asked Maze to comment, he refused our interview.  In fact, he took great offense to the questions.  This may have to do with Maze’s new found agressive attitude.  This attitude seems to care less about flashy moves and more about ruthless offense.  It also seems to be winning him many matches.

As Maze continues to rack up title victories, other cruiserweights seem to mimic his new attitude and style.  Coined the “bruiserweight” mantra, this aggression seems to be breeding in the Gulf Coast thanks to Maze’s success.
